Two bodies A of mass 1 Kg and B of mass 3 kg are dropped from heights of 16 m and 25 m, respectively.

to use this same equation into he calculation
Here, mass doesn't matter since the acceleration of the gravity acting on every object is same.
For object A,
s = ut + ½at²
16 = 0 + ½(10)(t²)
t² = 16 ÷ 5 = 3.2
t = √3.2 s
For object B,
s = ut + ½at²
25 = 0 + ½(10)t²
t² = 25 ÷ 5 = 5 ..
