See here in the question they had asked about speed not velocity if they had asked velocity then answer will be different which will be based on rotation.....

So here as radius is in ratio of 1:3 so we say that small circle has radius r then bigger circle will have radius 3r...

So now as speed=distance/time and both had taken same time.

and let speed of smaller body be S1 and larger body be S2

So

s1 = 2\pi r \div time

why i had taken 2Πr because it is the distance covered which will be equal to circumference of circle....

s2 = 2\pi \times 3r \div time

As both had taken same time....

Now s1/s2 = 1/3 .....i had solved it got that,......i hope u can do that dividing part...
