KE 1=1/2.m.v1^2
KE 2=1/2.m.v2^2
KE1/KE2
=> half and mass cancel
=> v^2/9v^2
v^2 cancel
1:9

Hi....
The kinetic energy of first body will be 1/2m(v)^2

& The kinetic energy of 2nd body will be
1/2m(3v)^2 = 1/2m9(v)^2

So their ratio will be
KE (1st body)/KE(2nd body)=
1/2m(v)^2/ 1/2m×9(v)^2 = 1/9

Therefore, the Kinetic energies of both the body are in the ratio 1:9...

Hope this helps you.... ☺
