kinetic energy of first mass be 1/2mv2

kinetic energy of second be 9/2mv2

then the ratio become 1:9

We Know that, K.E = 1/2 mv²

so K.E of body v velocity= 1/2 m (v)²  eq1

and of body 3v velocity = 1/2 m (3v)²   eq2

ratio= eq1/eq2

      = 1/2mv² ÷ 1/2 m 9v²

      by taking out like terms

we get 1/9 which is the answer.
