two boxers have to fight in a square arena of side 30m. Four poles are stuck into the ground at four corners of the arena. A rope is fence is to be put around the poles to keep the spectators away. What length of the rope will be required if 2m is required for tying the knots?

Rope required= Perimeter of square

                        = 4s

                          = 4×30

                        = 120 m

2 m is required to tie the knot at four corners.

∵ Rope required to tie the knots = 4×2=8 m

∴Total Rope required = 120+8 =128 m
