Boy X covering less area is more likely to sink.

Step-by-step explanation:

Pressure is the force exerted on a surface divided by the area over which its applied

Pressure = Force / Area

Both boys have same weight hence force exerted by both of them is equal

Person is more  likely to sink who exerts more pressure

Pressure = Force / Area

For a given force is inversely proportional to area

Pressure ∝   1/ Area

Boy who is covering less area  is more likely to sink.

Hence Boy X covering less area is more likely to sink.
