Given

Masses = 2 kg & 5 kg

Force of attraction = 10 N

Distance between their centers is being doubled

To Find

The Force of attraction

Solution

☯ GMm/r² = Gravitational Force

The above formula is used to find the Gravitational Force between two bodies of masses M & m

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✭ According to the Question :

➞ g = GMm/r² = 10 N -eq(1)

And,

➞ g' = GMm/(2r)²

➞ g' = GMm/4r² -eq(2)

From eq(1) & eq(2)

➞ N = 10/4

➞ N = 5/2 N

∴ The gravitational force would be 5/2 N
