40W bulb will fuse first
reason is:
P=v*i
=v*(v/r)
=v^2/r
R=P/v^2
resistance of first bulb is 806 ohms
resistance of second bulb is 1210 ohms
as they are connected in series the voltage will be 440 V
I=440/(806+1210)=0.21A
voltage drop across 60 W bulb will be V=I*R
V=0.21*806
=175V
voltage drop across 40W bulb is
V=0.21*1210
=254V
As it has high voltage 40W bulb will fuse first
reason is:
