let the initial speed of first bus be v1 and the initial speed of second bus be v2.

v2=2*v1

after 1 hour they are 240 km apart.

let the first bus be x km from starting point and second bus = 240-x km from starting point.

using speed=dist./time

v1=x/1            v2=>2*v1=(240-x)/1

adding the above equations

3*v1=240

v1=80 km/hr    v2=160km/hr
