Lets first consider the second bus
Speed = 50 km per hour
Time taken = 10-8 = 2 hours
Therefore
Distance = Speed × Time taken
= 50 × 2 = 100km
Now lets take the first bus
Speed = 40 km per hour
Since the distance travelled by both buses is
the same ;
Distance = 100 km
Therefore
Time taken = Distance / Speed
= 100/40 = 2.5 hrs
So the first bus reaches the next stop 2.5 hours after it starts , i.e ,
8.00 + 2.5 = 10.30
So we can conclude that the first bus reaches the next stop by 10:30 am
Speed = 50 km per hour
Time taken = 10-8 = 2 hours
Therefore
Distance = Speed × Time taken
= 50 × 2 = 100km
Now lets take the first bus
Speed = 40 km per hour
Since the distance travelled by both buses is
the same ;
Distance = 100 km
Therefore
Time taken = Distance / Speed
= 100/40 = 2.5 hrs
So the first bus reaches the next stop 2.5 hours after it starts , i.e ,
8.00 + 2.5 = 10.30
So we can conclude that the first bus reaches the next stop by 10:30 am
