Let the total votes be x

He got 64% of votes That is 1008 votes

Number of voters

 \frac{64}{100} \times x = 1008 \\ 64 \times x = 1008 \times 100 \\ 64 \times x = 100800 \\ x = \frac{100800}{64} \\ x = 1575

Total number of votes = 1575
