Two capacitors C1 and C2 are charged to 120 and 200 V respectively. It is found that by connecting them together the potential on each one can be made zero then : prove 3C1=5C2

V2=200
by connecting them together such that potential =0 I.e,Q =0
C1v1=C2v2
120C1=200C2
3C1 =5C2.

if potential is 0 by connecting them together, Q=0

V1=120v

V2 =200v

We know that Net potential =C1V1 -C2V2/C1+C2

As net potential is 0 as per the question we can say

C1v1=C2v2

120C1=200C2

3C1=5C2
