Answer:

C1V1/C2V2

Explanation:

As by formula:-

charge is given by :-Q=CV

so, charge on the first capacitor is given by

==> Q1=C1V1

and charge on second capacitor is given by

==> Q2=C2V2

ratio of their charges= Q1/Q2

=> Q1/Q2 = C1V1/C2V2

Given:

Capacitors = C1 and C2

voltage = V1 and V2

To Find:

Ratio of charge

Solution:

we know,

Q = CV  (Charge on a capacitor)

for capacitor C1,

Q1  = C1 * V1

for capacitor C2,

Q2 = C2 * V2

Q1 / Q2 = (C1 * V1) / (C2 * V2)

since, capacitors are in parallel

V1 = V2

Q1 / Q2 = C1 / C2

So, the ratio of  charges is C1 : C2
