Given,

$\implies$ Speed of car A is 40 km/h

$\implies$ Speed of car B is 50 km/h

Distance covered by both the cars A and B in 3 hours:

$\bullet$ By car A,

$\implies$ Distance = Speed × Time

$\implies$ Distance = 40 × 3

$\implies$ Distance = 120 km

$\bullet$ By car B,

$\implies$ Distance = Speed × Time

$\implies$ Distance = 50 × 3

$\implies$ Distance = 150 km

Distance between them after 3 hours,

$\implies$ 150 km - 120 km

$\implies$ 30 km

Hence,

Car A will be 30 km far away from car B after 3 hours.
