Two cars A and B travel from one City to another City at speeds of 60kmph and 108kmph respectively. If car B takes 2 hours less time than car A for they journey. Then what is the distance (in km) between the two cities?​

so here we have

car A with speed = 60 km/h

and car B with speed = 108 km/h

now let time taken by A = x hrs

so time taken by B = (x -2)hrs

now their starting point and ending point are same so distance(displacement) covered will

also be the same .

so let distance be = d km

now

dist = s × t

d = 60 × x ( for car A)

d = 108 × (x-2) ( for car B)

now if both have same distance so lets equate them

60x = 108x -216

216 = (108-60)x

216 = 48x

x = 4.5 hr

now distance

60x

60 (4.5)

= 270 answer
