Given : two cars are traveling along the same Highway the distance in miles from San Francisco after hours spent driving is described for each car

To Find : Correct option

Solution:

h    car  B   d            Car A ( d) = 60h + 20

0        60                         20

2        160                       140

4        260                      260

Car A speed = 60  miles /hr

Original Distance =  20 km

Car B Speed  = (160 - 60)/(2 - 0)  = 50 miles /hr

Car B original  Distance  = 60 km

60 > 50

=> Car A is travelling at a faster rate in miles per hr than Car B

20 ≠ 60

Cars are not originally at same distance from San Francisco.

Correct option :

Car A is travelling at a faster rate in miles per hr than Car B
