Two cells of 1.25 V and 0.75 V are connected in parallel with anode of one connected to cathode of the other . The effective voltage will be how much?

here in this question two voltage are given 
n we know that formula of voltage is 
1/V1+1/V2( because they are connect in parallel )
so according to question 1/1.25+1/0.75=2.4 V
