Two cells of emfs 1.5 v and 2.0 v having internal resistances 0.2 w and 0.3 w respectively are connected in parallel. calculate the emf and internal resistance of the equivalent cell.

E=1.5,E=2 r1=.2 r2=.3
E(eq)=(1.5)(.3)+2(.2)=.45+.4=.85v
r(eq)=(.2)(.3)/.2+.3=.12w
