Given :

  • Two chords AB and CD of a circle cut each other when produced outside the circle at P. AD and BC are joined. If ∠PAD = 30° and ∠CPA = 45°

To find :

  • ∠CBP

Solution :

Angles in the same segment are equal

∠BAD = ∠BCD = 30°

In ΔCBP,

∠C + ∠B + ∠P = 180°

30° + ∠B + 45° = 180°

75° + ∠B = 180°

∠B = 180° - 75°

∠B = 105°

∠CBP = 105°

option 1 ( 105° ) is correct
