Two circles of diameters 6cm and 4cm respectively touch each other externally then what is the distance between their centers?​

Answer :

5 cm

Solution :

Given,

Diameters of 2 circles = 6 cm, 4 cm

↦ Radii of circles = 3cm, 2cm

If they touch each other externally,

The distance between their centres will be equal to the sum of their radii.

⇝ D = 3 + 2 = 5 cm

∴ Distance between their centres = 5 cm
