Two circular coils 'x' and 'y' are placed close to each other. If the current in the coil'x' is changed, will some current be induced in the coil 'y'?Give reason.

Yes it will because of electromagnetic induction.

When current changes in coil x, then its associated magnetic field linked of the coil changes as well.

Hence overall magnetic field of y changes.

With changes in magnetic field in coil y, lines around the coil will induces electric current in the coil’s field.

Yes current will be induced in coil Y due to the process of electro magnetic induction .

Reason :

Two coils are X and Y are placed closed to each other.

When the current in the coil X is changed then :

---> What we observe is, the magnetic flux associated with it

also changes.

---> As a result the magnetic field around coil Y also changes.

---> As the magnetic field around coil Y changes, then an induced current in it.

due to electro magnetic induction
