1. Landfill, burying or dumping solid waste in some waste land far off from city. Land is filled with junk. Also causes problems to nearby living people.
2. Incineration : Burning of solid waste in atmosphere. This causes pollution.
Perhaps it could be done in some enclosed container. Thermal energy is
generated from this process.
3. Regeneration or recycling.
Some rubber materials and plastic could be melted and oils could be extracted.
Paper/carton/card board items are separated and crushed into paper pulp.
That could be reused to make paper.
Glass bottles could be broken into pieces and melted. Fresh bottles could be
manufactured.
