property of complementary angles is that their sum is 90 degrees

so forming an equation :-

2x + 3x - 20°= 90°
5x = 110°
x = 110°/5
x = 22°
so....
1st angle = 2x = 2*22 = 44°
2nd angle = 3x - 20 = 3*22 - 20 = 66-20= 46°

2x+(3x-20) = 90
2x+ 3x-20= 90
5x= 110
x= 22

2x= 2×22=44
3x-20= 3×22-20=66-20=46
