Let 5x = smaller angle

Let 13x = bigger angle

5x + 13x = 90

18x = 90

x = 90/18

x = 5

So,

smaller angle = 25°

bigger angle = 65°

So, Let the angles be 5x and 13x

It is given that angles are complementary

therefore , we get

5x + 13x = 90°

18x = 90°

x = 5°

Now, 5x = 5 × 5 = 25°

and, 13x = 13 × 5 = 65°

Hence, the complementary angles having ratio 5 : 13 are 25° and 65°
