Given :-

Two complementary angles are in the ratio 1 : 2.

To find :-

Angles

Solution :-

As we know that

→ Complementary angle is the sum of two angles is equal to 90°

→ Supplementary angle is the sum of two angles is equal to 180°

  • According to the given condition

→ Two complementary angles are in the ratio 1 : 2

  • Let the angles be x and 2x

→ x + 2x = 90

→ 3x = 90

→ x = 90/3

→ x = 30

Hence,

Required angles

  • x = 30°
  • 2x = 2 × 30 = 60°

Verification :-

→ x + 2x = 90

→ 30 + 60 = 90

→ 90° = 90°

  • Therefore verified
