Two complementary angles are in the ratio 4:5 find the angle

Let, first angle = 4x

and second angle = 5x

 sum of complementary angles = 90°

so,
      4x + 5x = 90°
  
      9x = 90°
 
       x = 90°/ 9
     
       x = 10°

so, first angle = 4x = 4 × 10 = 40
 
and second angle = 5x = 5 × 10 = 50

you can also check the answer 

40° + 50° = 90°.
