1st angle = 39°

2nd angle = 51°

Solution :

Let the 1st angle be x .

Also ,

As per the question , two complementary angles differ by 12° .

Thus ,

Let the 2nd angle be (x + 12°) .

Also ,

We know that , the sum of two complementary angles is 90° .

Thus ,

=> x + (x + 12°) = 90°

=> 2x + 12° = 90°

=> 2x = 90° - 12°

=> 2x = 78°

=> x = 78°/2

=> x = 39°

Hence ,

1st angle = x = 39°

2nd angle = x + 12° = 39° + 12° = 51°
