CSA of the Shape so formed = CSA of first cone + CSA of second cone
= 2x CSA of cone(∵, both have same radius and height)-------(i)
l = √r²+h²
l = √8²+15²
l = √64+225
l = √289
l = 17cm
From (i)
2πrl = 2 x 22/7 x 8 x 17
= 854.85cm²
∴, the CSA of total shape so formed = 854.85cm²
