Two cross roads 2.5 m wide have been constructed in the middle of a garden
crossing each other at right angles, running parallel to the sides of the garden 35 m
long and 20 m wide. Find the cost of constructing the roads at the rate of 100 per
sq.m.​

total area of road= {area of (1)} + {area of (2)} - {area of (3)}

=75+50+-6.25

=118.75m²

1m²= Rs100

so, 118.75m² = 118.75×100

=Rs 11875
