Step-by-step explanation:

Area of 1st Road = (70 × 4) m²

= 280 m²

Area of 2nd Road = (40 × 4) m²

= 160 m²

Area of portion that is common

= (4 × 4) m² = 16 m²

Area of both roads = ( 280 + 160 - 16) m²

= 424 m²

Cost of leveling the road = ₹ ( 424 × 8)

= ₹ 3,392

Area of rectangle Park = ( 70 × 40) m²

= 2800 m²

Area of remaining park = ( 2800 - 424) m²

= 2376 m²

Cost of planting flowers = ₹ ( 2376 × 6)

= ₹ 14, 256.
