Length of the first cross road parallel to the length = 80 m

Breadth of the first cross road parallel to the length = 5 m

Area of the first cross road = (80) (5)

                                             = 400 m²

Length of the first cross road parallel to the length = 40 m

Breadth of the first cross road parallel to the length = 5 m

Area of the first cross road = (40) (5)

                                             = 200 m²

Area of the common part of the 2 cross roads with width 5 m that lies at the center of the rectangular park = (5) (5)

                                                          = 25 m²

Area of the 2 cross roads = Area of the 1st cross road + Area of the 2nd cross road - Common area

⇒ (400 + 200) - 25

⇒ 600 - 25

= 575 m²

Cost of constructing the roads = Rs. 50 m²

Total cost of constructing the road = Rate × Area

                                                          = (575) (50)

                                                          = 28750

∴ Cost of constructing the road of area 575 m² is Rs. 28750.

Hope this helps uh! ♡
