Given, Length of the rectangular field = 45m,
Width of the rectangular field = 32m

Width of the road = 3m
Cost of construction of road = Rs 110 per m²
Hence
Length of the field without road = 45m —3m = 42m
Width of the field without road = 32m —3m = 29m

Area of rectangular field = Length × Width
= 45m × 32m = 1440 m²
Area of rectangular field without road = Length without road × width without road
= 42m × 29m = 1218m²
Therefore, Area covered by roads

= Area of rectangular field — Area of rectangular field without roads
1440-1218=222m²

Cost of construction = Rate × Area
=110x222=₹24420
