lenght of side of cube = 6cm

if two cubes are joined end to end then the length of cuboid will be = 12cm

TSA of cuboid = 2( lw + wh + hl )

= 2 {(12×6) + (6×6) + (6×12)}

= 2 (72 + 36 + 72)

= 2×180

= 360 cm ^2

The surface area of the resulting cuboid is 360 cm².

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Two cubes, each of edge length 6 cm, are joined end to end.

To find : The surface area of the resulting cuboid ?

Solution :

Two cubes, each of edge length 6 cm, are joined end to end so the dimensions of cuboid form is

Length = (6 + 6) cm= 12 cm

Breadth = 6 cm

Height = 6 cm

The Surface Area of Cuboid is given by,

SA= 2 (lb + bh + hl)

Substitute the values,

SA= 2 (12\times 6+6\times 6+6\times 12)

SA= 2 (72+36+72)

SA= 2 (180)

SA=360

Therefore, the surface area of the resulting cuboid is 360 cm².
