Volume of each cube = 216 cm³ .

Side³ = 216

Side =
 \sqrt[3]{216}  \\ \sqrt[3]{ 6 \times 6\times 6}  \\
= 6 cm

And when they are joined the dimensions of the cuboid so formed,

Length = 2×6 = 12 cm

Breadth = 6 cm

Height = 6 cm

Total Surface area of the cuboid =

2(lb×bh×lh)

= 2(12*6+6*6+6*6)

= 2(72+36+36)

= 2(144)

= 288 cm².

Hence the required total surface area is = 288 cm².

Answer:

ans is 360 cm²

Explanation:

volume= 216cm³

v of cube = a³

a³=216

a= 6cm

length = 12cm

breadth =6cm

height = 6cm

surface area = 2(lb+bh+hl)

= 2[(12×6)+(6×6)+(6×12)]

= 2×180

= 360cm²
