Two cubes each of volume 8cm cube are joined end to end, then, find TSA of the resulting cuboid?

as volume of cube=8 cm (given)
                          a³=8 ⇒ a=2 cm
as two cubes were joined with volume of each 8 cm to form a cuboid, then l=4 cm,b=2 cm,h=2 cm
so,TSA of resulting cuboid=2(lb+bh+hl)
                                          =2(4(2)+2(2)+2(4))
                                          =2(8+4+8) ⇒2(20)⇒40 cm²
