here's ur answer...
if we join the two cubes then they will form a cuboid of:-
length=16cm
breadth=8cm
height=8cm
TSA of the cuboid=2(lb+bh+lh)
=2{(16×8)+(8×8)+(16×8)}
=2(128+64+128)
=2×320
=640cm²
