two cubes of 5 cm each are kept together joining edge to edge to form a cuboid . find the surface area of the cuboid so formed.

Answer:

Surface 1 = 25

Surface 2 = 25

Surface 3 = 25 * 2


TSA = 2 (Sur1+Sur2+Sur3)

= 2 (25+25+50)

= 2 (100)

= 200 cm^2

2 cubes are attached.. so 2(side of cube)=length of cuboid

side of cube=breadth and height of cuboid

Total Surface Area of cuboid formed is=

2(lb + bh + hl)
2(10*5+5*5+5*10)
2(50+25+50)
2(125)
250 sq cms
