As per question ;
measure of side of cube = 4 cm
If two cubes are joined together , then we can imagine that new solid formed will be a cuboid .
when they are joined , length of new solid will be different than cube that is : 4 +4
= 8 cm
FORMULA FOR SURFACE AREA OF CUBOID = 2(LB + BH + HL), where L = 8cm , H = 4cm , B = 4cm , then we get ,
= 2 (8x4 + 4x4 +4x8)
= 2 (32 + 16 + 32 )
= 2 (80) = 160 cm^2
