Answer:

12 & 8 km /hr

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say Speed of 1 rider  = 3 S km/hr

Speed of Another Rider  = (2/3)3S = 2S  km/hr

2 hr 24 mins = 2 Hr + 24/60 hr  =  2 + 2/5 hr  = 12/5 hr

Distance = Speed * time

Distance cover by one rider = 3S * (12/5)  =  36S/5  km

Distance covered by other Rider = 2D(12/5) = 24S/5 km

Total Distance Covered = 36S/5 +  24S/5

= 60S/5

= 12 S  km

12S = 48

=> S = 4

Speed of one rider = 3S = 12 Km /hr

Speed of another rider = 2S = 8 km/Hr
