Two cylinders A and B of equal volume are connected to each other via a stopcock. A contains an ideal gas at standard temperature and preassure. is completely evacuated. The entire system is thermally insulated. The stopcock is suddenly opened. 1:what is the final pressure of gas at A and B? 2: what is the change in temperature of gas? 3:what is the change in internal energy of the gas?

1. In case of both A and B cylinders, if A holds ideal gas then it will move from A to B. Under the adiabatic conditions, the change in pressure or volume will be observed. And at last final pressure in both A and B cylinders would be 0.5 atm.

2. The change in temperature of gas will be zero.

3. The change in internal energy of the gas will also be zero.
