two dice are placed side by side as shown in the adjacent figure . what would be the total of the faces opposite to : a 5 + 6 b 2 + 3, (remember that a dice sum of the number on opposite faces is 7 .)

tm the diagram is a bit of cube and it was just a thought about how you can make in the volume if not indicate image and very hard syllabus is not complete

Explanation:

5 , 4,  1 are 3 faces of dice having common point.

so, 6, 3, 2 are 3 faces of dice having common point. This is diagonally opposite point. Also dice sum of the number on opposite faces is 7 always.

Clashing both we get following combination of opposite faces :-

1 - 6

4 -  3

5 - 2

so, 5 + 6 will have opposite face of 2 + 1. So the sum will be 3.

so, 2 + 3 will have opposite face of 4 + 5. So the sum will be 7.
