Two dice are thrown at a time. What will be the probability that the difference of the numbers shown on the dice is 1

so., here two dice are thrown and there are the total no. of outcomes are. 36,

and the no. of outcomes when the difference is of 1 are 5 now

probability of getting the difference of 1 is = 5/36
=> 0.138...

tow dice are thrown then the out comes will be 36
let x be the collection of elements in which the difference of the numbers is one
therefore;
probability of x,
p (x) = 6/36
= 1/6
