1. Humans are omnivores, and so our digestive system has the ability to digest a wide variety of different foods.

Herbivores do not have the ability to digest meat.

2. Grass eating animals are known as ruminants. ... Rumination is aided by bacteria present in the rumen which breaks down cellulose in plants. The digested food is then passed to the reticulum. Some animals including humans cannot digest cellulose for its complex structure. Grass eating animals also release Methane after digestion.
