- in this type of farming crops produced by farmers are mainly consumed. by the families .surplus is sold to local market. crops mainly grown like wheat rice
- it is labour intensive farming
- it is kind of farming more than one type of crop is grown in agricultural field
commercial farming
- it is type of farming crops are grown for commercial purposes i.e.for selling in local and international markets .crops mainly grown are tea coffee jute etc
- farming is mechanised and is prevalent in areas where farms are large and market economy is well developed.
- generally one crop is cultivated
