When two dice is rolled then sample space is {(1,1), (1,2),........ (6,6)}

i.e, n(S) = 36

(i) The outcomes of the event that sum of two no.s on the dice is 5 are : (1,4), (2,3), (3,2), (4,1) ...

so, P = 4/36 = 1/9

(ii) The outcomes of the event that there is even no. on both dice are : (2,2), (2,4), (2,6), (4,2), (4,4), (4,6), (6,2), (6,4), (6,6)..

so, P = 9/36 = 1/4

Thank u... I hope u will understand..
