Favourable outcomes are 6= [(1,1);(2,2);(3,3);(4,4);(5,5);(6,6)]

Hence,
Probability= Favourable outcomes/
Total outcomes
P= 6/36
P= 1/6

Solution:

Sample space = ( 1, 0 ), ( 1, 1 ), ( 1, 2 )... ( 6, 6 )

Hence,  

Sample space = 36

To find the probability of getting a doublet,

Outcomes = ( 1, 1 ), ( 2, 2 ).. ( 6, 6 )

Possible outcomes = 6

P (getting a doublet) = 6 / 36  

Hence, P (getting a doublet) = 1 / 6
