Two distinguishing properties of magnetic field of solenoid and bar magnet

A bar magnet cannot be demagnetised whereas selonoid can.

A bar magnets intensity cannot be changed whereas selenoid can be changed by inc the current in coil or inc density of magnetic field

differences B/W solenoid and bar magnet magnetic field:---

• A bar magnet has very low magnetic intensity as compare to solenoid.
• In solenoid the magnetic intensity can be increased by increasing the current by increasing the coil .
• in bar magnet poles are fixed.
• but in solenoid we can reverse the pole according to our need.
• as current, flow in the coil is in clockwise, then it act as south Pole and the current flow is anti clockwise, it will behave as north Pole.
