Two equal sides of a triangle are each 5m less than twice the third side. If the perimeter of the trianglr is 55m, find the length of its sides.

two equal sides are 21 metres long and the third side is 13 metres long

let the length of the 3rd side be a units length of equal sides= (2a-5) units
now perimeter=55
a+(2a-5)+(2a-5)=55
5a=65
a=13
so length of sides are 13m,21m and 21m
