Answer:

Let the principal be x

For A

Principal = x

Rate of interest = 4%

Time = 3 years

S.I. = PRT/100

S.I. = (x)(3)(4) / 100. [1]

= 3x/25

For B

Principal = x

Rate of interest = 6%

Time = 3 years

S.I. = PRT/100

S.I. = (x)(3)(6)/100

S.I. = 9x/50. [2]

According to the question

B is more than A by 468

9x/50 - 3x/25 = 468. [ LCM of 25 and 50 is50]

9x-(3x*2)/50 = 468

9x - 6x / 50 = 468

3x/50 = 468

3x = 468*50

x = 468*50/3

x = 7800

So, The principal is Rs. 7800
