Answer:

The  square field has greater area by 400m^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

It is said that the square and rectangukar fields have same perimeter.

the perimeter of the square field is given by 4a where a is the side of the square and the perimeter of the rectangular field is given by 2(l+b) where l and b are length and breadth respectively.

The side of the square,a =60m

The perimeter of square=60 x 4=240m

breadth of rectangle,b=40m

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+40)

Equating the perimeters,

2(l+40)=240

l+40=120

l=120-40=80m

The length of the rectangle field =80m

The area of square=a^{2} =(60)^{2} =3600m^{2}

The area of rectangle field=l.b=80.40=3200m^{2}

The area of the square field is greater by 400m^{2}
